Review: To say that I’m thoroughly impressed with how far we’ve come in terms of alcohol free wine options is an understatement. This French vegan sparkling wine, crafted from a blend of Chardonnay and Colombard, is aged for 12 months prior to having its alcohol removed. This wine offers a perfect celebration in a glass, no alcohol required.
In terms of aromas, the wine releases notes of ripe nectarine, Granny Smith apple, along with zesty lemon, honey, and hints of almond shell.
As for the palate, expect a bright and lively profile with fine bubbles and a pleasant mouthfeel. Tart Granny Smith apple and lemon notes are first perceived, followed by nuances of mango and honey.
Wine-Food Pairing: For a vegan pairing, try avocado and mango salad, or peach salsa with vegan tortilla chips. If you prefer non-vegan options, it pairs beautifully with tuna tartare that includes mango and lime, or with a charcuterie board featuring prosciutto.
Tasted February 2025.
Looking for non-alcoholic options in the Ottawa area? I bought this wine at Knyota Drinks, located at 104 Banks Street, which offers a wonderful selection of alcohol free wines, non alcoholic beers, spirits, and mocktails.*
