REVIEW: A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cab Sauvignon, this easy drinking and slightly smoky Italian Red has aromas of plum, blackberry, and beets, with floral and chocolate notes, as well as hints of cinnamon.

On the palate, it is medium-bodied with juicy dark berry and plum flavours as well as cinnamon, cloves, chocolate and coffee notes at the finish. It has good acidity and tannins that are presents but well incorporated. Overall, a pleasant wine. Excellent value for your money.

WINE-FOOD PAIRING: I paired this wine with rotini in a cheesy rosé sauce with crushed tomato and sausage. The wine and food complemented each other. This wine would also pair well with sharp Italian cheese or Cheddar.  Because of the smoky profile of this wine, another good pairing would be with a barbecued steak or a burger.
